With my Fitbit and a new mindset of wanting to lose weight for myself, I set out (with my wife) to pound the streets and our local parks.
We went walking every day after work.
Some days this was really hard as after a long day at work with it raining outside this was the last thing we really wanted to do but we forced ourselves and began to reap the rewards.
For us, I think it helped starting in winter as we were in the routine of going out by the time summer came.
The walking gradually became easier… where I’d struggled to walk around the local race course (3.5km) without stopping I gradually managed to walk around it getter further between each stop until eventually I could walk around it without stopping.
After this, the next question was, what’s next?
