This is a question I get asked on a regular basis…
And my answer is always no I’m not on a diet.
For me diets are a weird thing… They promise great results if you follow the relevant restrictions, which may or may not work to help you reach your weightloss goals but what happens when you finish the diet and then go back to normal?
I’ve always tried to think of my journey as a life changer… This isn’t for the short term, this is for the rest of my life so I need to make sure that I embed these changes and good habits. Yes this is hard and yes I have my bad days, but doesn’t everyone? I try not to beat myself up and just reflect on what I’ve been eating and what improvements I can make.
So for me it’s eat less and move more and not a diet 😀
Hmmm. I am dieting right now for a fitness challenge – but I wouldn’t even really call it dieting, I just have to meet a certain calorie restriction. Normally I am an intuitive eater – I just go for whatever my body is telling me it needs 🙂

I don’t call the program I am on a diet because of the negative connotation with the word. Its not a temporary change, its a permanent one! I am changing the way I literally do everything! Thanks for sharing this! 🙂

Great post, I hate the word diet. It just makes me think of dry chicken and broccoli. Being healthy doesn’t have to be a chore!
